This Privacy Policy explains how JDGX Labs (“JDGX Labs”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with the WallMind mobile application (the “App”). It applies to the App published as in.jdgxlabs.wallmind on Google Play.
By using WallMind, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
WallMind is operated by JDGX Labs, based in India. For any privacy question or request, contact us at jdgxlabs@gmail.com. Requests from users in India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 may be addressed to our Grievance Officer at the same address.
| Category | What | Why | Leaves your device? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Account information | Email address, display name, and Google account ID, received when you sign in with Google. | To identify your walls, sync your data, let you share walls by email, and show other members who you are. | Yes — stored in Firebase. |
| Your content | Note text, wall names, people names, and note assignments you create. | This is the core function of the App. | Yes — synced to Firebase. |
| Photos | Images captured when you scan a wall. | To detect and read your sticky notes. | No. Photos stay on your device and are deleted automatically after 30 days. |
| Location | Device location, only if you enable the optional home reminder, including access while the App is closed (background location). | To detect arrival at the single “home” location you set, and remind you to update your wall. | Location is evaluated on your device. The home coordinates you set are stored in your Firebase area; live location is not uploaded. |
| Microphone / voice | Speech, only while you dictate a note. | Converted to text using Android’s on-device speech recognition. | No audio is recorded or stored by us. |
| Handwriting recognition | Scan images, only if you add your own Google AI Studio (Gemini) API key. | Optional higher-accuracy handwriting reading. | Only if you set a key: images are then sent to Google’s Gemini service under your own key. Otherwise recognition is fully on-device. |
| Advertising identifiers and data | Your device’s advertising ID and related ad-interaction and coarse device data. | To show and measure ads via Google AdMob. | Yes — processed by Google AdMob. |
We do not collect your contacts, your call or message history, your browsing history, or biometric data. We do not operate our own analytics or crash-reporting beyond what the Google services below provide.
Where the GDPR applies, we process personal data on these bases: performance of a contract (to provide the App you asked for); consent (for optional location, for sending images to Gemini, and for personalised ads where required — you may withdraw consent at any time); and legitimate interests (to keep the App working, secure, and free through advertising, balanced against your rights).
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers that make the App work:
| Provider | Purpose | Their policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore) | Sign-in, storage, and sync of your walls, notes, people, and settings. | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Google AdMob | Serving and measuring in-app ads. | policies.google.com |
| Google Gemini / AI Studio | Handwriting recognition — only if you add your own API key. | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Google Play services | Sign-in, location services, and app distribution. | policies.google.com/privacy |
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or JDGX Labs.
WallMind shows ads via Google AdMob, which may use your device’s advertising ID to serve and measure ads, including personalised ads where permitted. You can:
Your data is stored in Google Firebase in the asia-south1 (Mumbai, India) region. Google, as our processor, may process data in other countries. Where data is transferred out of the EEA/UK, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Access to your walls is enforced by server-side security rules, not merely by the App, and data is transmitted over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we do not store your data anywhere other than the Google services described above.
You can export all your data (Settings → Account → Export my data) and delete your account (Settings → Account → Delete account) at any time, directly in the App. You can also delete individual notes or walls.
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
You have the right to know, access, correct, and delete your personal information, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
You have the right to access and correct your personal data, to erasure, to grievance redressal, and to nominate another person to exercise your rights. Contact our Grievance Officer at jdgxlabs@gmail.com.
To exercise any right, use the in-App options above or email us. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
WallMind is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). In India, users under 18 require verifiable parental consent under the DPDP Act. If you believe a child has provided us data without appropriate consent, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Policy from time to time. If a change is material, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Your continued use of WallMind after a change means you accept the updated Policy.
